Tell us a bit about yourself. I'm a one (wo)man band living in Southwestern Ontario and living life as it comes, and to the fullest! Apart from creating things, what do you do? When I'm not creating, I'm often found doing a variety of things. I like to read and knit, and have spurts of interest in cooking and baking. I also enjoy archery, and throwing knives. I keep busy most of the time, creating, enjoying nature, or being productive in one shape or another. What first made you want to become an artist? I never thought I'd be an artist. I still don't even really consider myself as one. I've always been very hands on. I was drawn at a young age to cars and fixing things, and am now starting a career as an apprentice. Crafts only came naturally to me. I mostly did it to amuse myself and for gifts to myself and others, but once people started expressing their fondness of my items and asking if I'd be interested in selling them, I started thinking that this is something I could actually persue.Please describe your creative process. My creative process is not really a process at all. My items are normally inspired by a crazy friend or event or thought, and from there I instantly grab my tools and start working on it. It doens't always work out the first time, but I keep trying til it does! I don't (or should I say can't!) draw before I create!In ten years, where would you like to be? In ten years I would like to preferrably be married, have started a family, and have my own farm. Somewhere to work on vehicles and my crafts alike! |
